Non-local thermal equilibrium spectra of atmospheric molecules for exoplanets

Here we present a study of non-LTE effects on the exoplanetary spectra collection molecules which are key in investigation exoplanet atmospheres: water, methane, carbon monoxide and titanium oxide. These chosen as examples different spectral ranges (IR UV), molecular types (diatomics polyatomics) (electronic ro-vibrational); importance vibrational bands forming distinct features investigated. Most notably, such signatures for distinguishing between LTE cases include: CH4 3.15 $\mu$m band region; H2O 2.0 2.7 regions; TiO, strong variation intensity 0.5 0.75 $\mu$m; sole CO signature 5 6 $\mu$m. The analysis is based ExoMol cross sections takes advantage extensive assignment these line lists database. We examine under conditions consistent with those WASP-12b WASP-76b using empirically motivated bi-temperature Treanor model. In addition, make simplistic forward model simulation transmission atmosphere TauREx 3 atmospheric modelling code.
